Happy Sunday everybody

I'm looking for good books to read by the pool.

What is the last book you couldn't put down?

I'm prejudiced but anything by James Patterson is good, fast reading.  I am now reading ZOO by JP.

I really have a hard time putting down any book, unless it's a good, but VERY slow-paced book (like the one I'm currently reading). So the last one for me would probably be Scones and Bones by Laura Childs. But as far as the Stephen King/James Patterson type book, I'd have to say So Cold the River by Michael Koryta.

The latest PD James... Death comes to Pemberley. She has created a murder mystery from where Pride and Prejudice finished.  I think even Jane Austen would have enjoyed it...

Pretty amazing for an author born in 1920!  And she thinks she may still have another book in her

If you want something fast and cute, (and if you haven't already done so), check out Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series. Each book is numbered (One for the Money, Two for the Show, and so on). Start with number one and work your way down the list. The books, especially the earlier ones, are fairly good and they are perfect for reading by the pool. I got tired of them eventually, but I have read them all. You can probably get a book done easily in an afternoon.

If you want something slower, try The Outlander series by Diana Galbadon. This is truly an excellent read! I got hooked on it by reading about what others were reading. It's such a good series....you must read them in order. Outlander, Dragonfly in Amber, etc. You won't be sorry.

And if you need more ideas check out What Are You Reading up in the Paws and Reflect forum. Lots of stuff there!

Since Under the Dome is now on CBS, I started re-reading that....not that it matters as I have yet to stay awake long enough to see an episode.
