my boy Sasha does this a fair amount. i will hear him, usually at night and he is being sick :(

he usually pukes up his food. we feed our cats 1 packet each of wet food 3 times a day.

everytime he eats he eats like he is starving. he is not too skinny but he is fairly skinny.

if my other cat Teela does not eat her dinner then Sasha will eat it too. though even if they both do eat their dinner we will sometimes be sick.

he is usually acting fine after being sick. right now he is nestled in my lap, giving me kisses and wanting attention and seems to be quite happy
so given the sickness im really worried.

is there something that this could be? or is it just hm overeating?

He is up at anyone in the family a lot asking for food and i'm not sure why, they get plenty food and he always scoffs his and usually Teela's if she doesn't finish it.

can somebody please help me?

Thank you everyone

I've had cats like that - especially if they drank water soon after, they would overload their stomachs and up it would come. He probably is starving, if he's been missing meals. The only solution is to give him about a third of what he should have for the meal, then about 45 minutes later give him another third, then 45 minutes later give him the rest. Eventually he'll learn not to overload himself.

Good luck!

It's helpful to know if he is throwing up the food shortly after he eats, or quite awhile after he eats.  And if the food appears to have already been digested, or not (although with packets, it may be harder to tell
)

If it's almost immediately after eating, then he probably IS overeating, and would appear to be hungry soon afterwards.  If it's  much later in the evening, then I wouldn't associate it with overeating, and think he should be seen by a Vet to determine the problem.  It could be something in the food itself that doesn't agree with him, and possibly a change in food would help.   What are feeding them (brand and flavor)?

we feed them mostly Whiskas Packeted food and he is usually not sick straight after eating it is usually much later and  sometimes i even come home to sick.

i believed it was only my boy, Sasha that was being sick but i recently witnessed my girl Teela being sick and i am worried about both of them.

i  don't think i can legally take them to the vet g as i am 16 and although they are registered at  the PDSA  they are not registered under my name so i don't think i could take them.

thanks guys for your response and help.

i have tried restricting Sasha to half a packet at once and the rest half an hour later but i still find them being sick.

ive tried to talk to my mum but she just makes excuses about taking them and just tells me Sasha eats too much. does anyone know if i can take them to their registered vet if i am 16 years old and they are not registered on my "card" but my mothers?
