How do they know? (Rhetorical)

Please don't move this to another forum. It's meant as a rhetorical question.

Everyday Abby lays on the back of the couch, and everyday I go and give her cuddles while she is laying there. She buries her head in my hand and purrs up a storm.

Today was no different.  I prepared the cat carrier in the spare room and left it there.  I went to the kitchen and then did my usual routine of walking to the couch to give Abby her routine cuddles.  Only today she tried to jump away!  How on earth did she know that I was going to cuddle her today and then pick her up and take her to the cat carrier!

I swear she can read my mind!   LOL

Anyone else have a cat that has mind reading abilities?  lol

Oh, yeah. The minute you want them, they are nowhere. When you least want them, they are underfoot.

Well, all is forgiven. She came out and meowed at me and rubbed up against my leg and demanded pets!  She was probably miffed at me because I was cheating on her with the clinic cat named RJ! He's a real love bug!
