So Jack, who's had a few health issues, lost an ounce since yesterday.  Some background....When she was a week and a half old, she had diarrhea.  Vet gave probiotics, problem fixed.  A week after that, we thought she aspirated some milk.  Vet took a listen, lungs were clear, but gave us some Clavamox "just in case".  Last week we took her back to the vet for the follow up.   Lungs were clear, even though she sneezes and sometimes white stuff comes out of her nose.  Vet said it's possible she has FHV, and while you can't cure it, symptoms can be treated.  They also went ahead and gave her the first dose of deworming meds.

Then last night she sounded like she was congested/snorting.  Gave her a steam treatment in the bathroom, and she seemed to have cleared up enough mucous.

This whole time she's been eating 3/4 of the bottle, peeing in the litterbox, pooping (not in the litterbox yet), playing, and sleeping.  She's also been gaining weight, at a rate of around 1/2 oz (14g) per day.  Yet after all this, he lost an oz since yesterday.   I understand if she pooped it would account for some loss (Leo lost an oz when he pooped a really good one,) but she didn't poop between yesterday and today.  Should I worry?  Or not unless the weight loss continues?

I would weigh tonight to see what happens and If she has lost, gained or stayed the same. Is she still on the Clavamox?
Definitely keep doing the shower vaporizers I usually do them two to three times a day. You can also try to give her some kitten nutrical as a supplement just monitor her for any loose stools as sometimes it can cause that- because she is a little older I wouldn't let that scare me away from using it if she really IS losing and hasn't gained by tonight. Lastly I know you were trying to wean them to raw, how is that going? Do they get wet too or what are you feeding besides the bottle?
I would call vet if you haven't already, but do see what her weight Is like tonight and watch her very closely

Clavamox is over...she was on it for 10 days.  We have the Supplical that  could give her.  We hadn't done that too much.  As for raw, although we've been introducing them to it, they are still getting the same amount of milk as before.  She hasn't taken to the chicken yet.  No interest in it.  But she's been drinking milk like normal.  I'll weigh again later and update.

Good news....she gained 1 1/2 oz today :D  I'm positive I did not misread the scale earlier, either.

So what happens during the deworming process?  I know kittens with worms usually have the round bellies.  She's definitely losing the roundness.  Could that have caused the weight loss?

Oh and happy to announce that I got the big boy Leo to drink milk out of a saucer :D

Oz down, Oz up, a real JoJo-toy...  Or misreading after all?  The total netto is a fairly normal gain.

Such is dangerous for my heart!     :)

Good luck!

It's so nerve wracking, with the kittens being so small.  Every little thing is cause for alarm!!  LOL  After losing the runt, my confidence we just shot so I definitely watched every little bump on the road, maybe more than the average kitten foster mom...plus the fact that this is my first time.

But they make us all smile :)  RIght now they're chasing each other and tackling each other, climbing on stuff.
