my cat has had a discharge from the eyes and it comes out all gooey. we've tried several medicine and we've even changed vet and they told us that this time they would have clean out her eye ducts. i was wondering how much it would cost and how efficient it is?

I've never heard of this.  Do the vets think it's an infection?  Have you tried adding Lysine to her diet to see if that helps?

That's an easy thing to do.  You can get tablets in the supplement section of the store and crush between 2 spoons.  Add to wet food with a bit of water and it'll dissolve.  You can also buy the 1 pound jar of powdered lysine and add 1/4 t to food twice a day.  I'd start with 1000mg a day (500 mg twice daily) until the eye clears up.  You might also research Eye See Clearly drops and see if that might help, too.
