I am asking for help for my neighbor. She has two cats. One is a femail and the other is a male. They are both fixed and nutered. It is the male which is the youngest is the big problem. He has attacked her on many times and draws blood when he does. My thinking is that he is protecting the femail cat and anytime my neighbor gets in the way he goes nuts and attachs her and her daughter. Today I find out she was taken to the hosiptal for stitches and bandages. It was really bad this time and it will only get worse I told her to get rid of the cat before it is to late. The femail is really sweet cat and never had a problem with her ever. I will not go into her house because I am afraid. I have a male cat also and I think he will smell him on me and attack me. She is taking him to the vet tommarrow to see if he is ok or what can be done. Any advice would be appreacated.

the vet would be the best call. Aggression is sometimes a stimulus to pain. It could be this male is in trouble healthwise and is lashing out at everyone around him in frustration, because no one is listening.

Let us know what the vet finds

The vet idea Hissy suggested is a wise call in case it is a pain issue.

Question - Is there any outside (not necessarily outside the front door) chance that there is any type of stimli that can be provoking the male cat (another male or quick moves or overstimulation of some sorts)?

Have they tried Feliway or essence in the house? I'm not familiar with communicators or behaviorist but they may be of some help.

Just an idea.

Let us know how it comes out tomarrow.

Good luck.
