Spitting up clear liquid, might be mucous

My 3 week old kitten sneezes and sometimes spits up clear liquid (she's done it maybe 3 times).  Not sure if it's vomit or mucous.  It sometimes has a few bubbles in it, but not quite foamy.

She had a history of aspirating some milk when she was 2 weeks old.  She sneezed a lot of it out.  But I took her to the vet the next day just in case.  The vet said her lungs sound crystal clear, but prescribed Clavamox just in case she did aspirate.  At least if she did, she can fight off the inevitable infection in the lungs.  Since then, she's been normal, active, and eating well.  Also pees'poops well.  Once in a while she'll sneeze, and there may or may not be mucous.

But tonight, she left a quarter-sized puddle of clear liquid and sneezed a little white stuff.  Does spit up mean anything bad?  She's still acting normal.  Luckily, she has her followup appointment tomorrow, but if someone here can shed some light on kittens and spit up that would be great.

It doesnt sound too good, but very good she does get the fluids out, they dont stay inside her - THIS could get serious...  May be so she being healthy and strong, has also the forces to cough up and spit out.

Good you are going to the vet tomorrow for the after controll, here it will be combined with a new check up.

Take her temperature, so you know if there are changes.  You can take it in the armpit in her foreleg if you wish, it is the easiest.

If the normal in the behind is 102 degrees F, it will show about 99 in the armpit.

In Celsius it may be 38,5, and perhaps 37,4 in the armpit.

This is not strictly scientifically, but works nicely for noticing changes.  So you should know what the normal temp is.

Also, continue to weigh her (you did so, as I remember?), same thing, if she gets sick, the gaining will be much less, or even stop / fall down.

Sometimes it is the earliest way to know something foul is coming/going on.

Good luck!

Oh yes they all get weighed daily.  That's how I know she seems to be doing ok -- combination of weight gain and activity/eating levels.  In fact, my son commented today that our biggest one, Leo, seems smaller, when in fact, he's not -- it's just that the other 2 are catching up to him.  He's still gaining weight, and the other 2  are still 2-3 oz behind him.

I'll let you know about the vet visit.  I also worry cuz once in a while they get litter (non clumping) in their mouths. They're not blatantly eating it.  They just sniff it, get it on their noses, and they lick.  So I hope that small amount has not caused any internal issues.

Vet's given her the all clear again.  I asked about the spit up, and she mentioned possible herpes from the mom, but she really doesn't have any other symptoms.  The runt who passed away did have an infected eye before it opened, and it's contagious to other kittens,  But from what I've read, like human herpes, they'll always have it, but if you keep them healthy, happy, and stress free, they should be able to live with it ok.  She's already on Clavamox, and the doctor suggested I get Lysin capsules, crack it open, and rub it on their gums.
