My kitty didn't come home today.  She was with me last night.  I was outside, watching my kids riding their bikes, and Mia was in my lap getting her usual amount of spoiled.  Then this morning, nothing.  There's no sign of her anywhere!!!!!

Info about Mia.  We've only had her for about a month.  She was a neighbors cat and sort of adopted us (with their permission of course).  She's had all her shots, if fixed and has been a sweet addition to our family.  She came to us as an outdoor cat, but we've set her up with an indoor shelter (our screened porch) to go whenever she wants.  She has beds, toys, scratching posts...she's been a very happy cat!  And there hasn't been a time when I've been outside and not seen her.  She's become very attached, as have I.

The only different things about today are that it's been raining and I left her food out all night last night.  Normally, I pull her food up at night and put it out for her in the morning-I feed her on the screen porch which she gets to through a cat door.  Last night, I forgot to bring her food in.  It doesn't appear anything else was inside the porch.  And it's been raining on and off all day.

I'm a worried wreck!  My kids have been crying all day.  She's only been with us for a month, but I'm so in love with her!!!!  The funny (or not so funny) part...I was planning to go out today and buy her a litter box to keep on the porch so she wouldn't have to go outside at night.  We have a lock for the door and I've been hoping to get her used to being inside at night.

Is there any hope?

Oh yeah...we live in a subdivision with some wooded areas.  She's 3 years old and has been outside the entire time.  There are occasionally coyotes around, but I haven't heard of one this season...and they rarely come around when it cool and wet.
