Hi all
I'm new to the board - I was directed here from Meowhoo.
I'd like to invite anyone in the area of Grayslake, Illinois to Save-A-Pet's Feral Cat Education Day on October 11, 2003. We will have a bin in the lobby collecting any kinds of cat food, treats, meat-based baby food (no garlic/onion powder), etc. All food donated this month will be given to Spay and Stay of Gurnee.
We're at 31664 North Fairfield Road 847-740-7788
It begins at 11 am with our bake sale which continues until we close at 6 pm. Coffee will be served. We will also have raffle ticket sales for 2 baskets full of goddies for you and your cat(s). Tickets are $1 each or 6/$5. Drawing will be held at 4 pm.
1pm we will have Spay and Stay of Gurnee speaking about their role in handling the feral cat population in Lake County.
2pm Animal Outreach will demonstrate humane trapping techniques
3pm Animal Outreach will discuss laws being introduced in McHenry County regarding ferals.
Information packages will be on display from these and other organizations dedicated to reducing the breeding within feral cat populations.
