Biscuit is an adorable little red tabby!   What a precious little face.   and a cute name.

I bet you are very much looking forward to having your soon-to-be new kitten in your home ..... but I hope it won't be TOO soon!   It's best for kittens to stay with their moms and littermates for at least 10 weeks for their physical, mental and social development.    Unfortunately many people think that as soon as they are able to eat some food it's time to separate them but that is not  what is best for the kittens and can make it more likely they will have behavior problems.

Here is an article about it--  this is talking about pedigree kittens but the same is true for regular domestic shorthair/ domestic longhair kittens too.

That would be just perfect if you take her home at 10-12 weeks but you get to go meet her and play with her in the month before that.    Hopefully you can do that ,  sometime after 6 wks.

I have a question I hope you can answer ! Is it wise to buy a bed right away because I heard that kittens are very fussy and like to to chose where they sleep ?

Well, I personally wouldn't spend a lot on a bed since sometimes they're not even interested in the bed you bought and decide to choose a different place to sleep ( like YOUR bed!)   but you can get one if you like.    What  a lot of cats seem to like is one of those beds that's like a little cave or tunnel.   so if you find one of those that isn't super expensive that might be good.    ( but she might be just as happy with a cardboard box and an old blanket ) .

What I would definitely get is a good tall sturdy sisal scratching post - might as well get one that will be big enough for her when she is an adult to stand up and get a good stretch.

A couple good brands are the Ultimate Scratching Post

 or the Purrfect Post.  http://www.purrfectpost.com/

That site also has tips for training  http://www.purrfectpost.com/helpful_tips.html

Or if you are handy at building things you can make your own.

http://catsinternational.org/articles/scratching_and_declawing/build_a_scratchingpost.html

That site also has a lot of good tips on kitten & cat behavior.

There are other sites that also tell how to make  scratching posts.

Or if you want to really splurge,  get a big cat tree that includes a part covered in sisal rope or sisal fabric.

Well I actually wanted her to sleep with me but I'm afraid of squashing biscuit =P even though I know she'll be much bigger when I get her I'm still kind of scared ! I'm not. Restless sleeper but just a little nervous ! Also I have a sister she is very excited ! I'm a little nervous about her and little biscuit :$

I'd have to go for a visit and a snuggle soon.

I was scared I'd squash Oliver but I haven't, and I never squashed my Squeakers when he was an itty bitty one, but if you're worried about it you can make her a little nest and sit it on the bed beside you. I have a little plastic tub with a fluffy towel in it that I fixed up for Ollie until he's bigger, but mostly he sleeps in the crook of my arm or on my chest.

Thank you.

He's five weeks (today) As close as I the vet and I can guess. I've been bottle feeding him for two weeks now. He's only about 6oz, so teeny!

I have absolutely no idea. I've never seen a cat that looked like him before. I have lots of pics of him in my Oliver thread. As far as I can tell he's just a black cat with white feet and smokey fur. He keeps changing colors. He was all black except for his feet when I found him, now his fur is smokey (white fur with black tips), in some places and plain black in others.

Yay for kittens!
I'm sure she'll be a special little ball of fluff for you. How did you decide on the name Biscuit?

Funny story I was eating breakfast and I was debating on Luna which is moon ins Spanish , and pumpkin, and lucky( until we found out he was a she ! ) then my dad randomly yells out the word biscuit ! And I turn to him and ask what ? And said we should name the cat biscuit ! And it turns out the towel the mommy gave birth in had little pictures of biscuits in it so it just fit perfectly !! :)
