As I've mentioned in a previous post, my Ally was licking the fur off of her belly and created a bald patch. The vet said Yeast Infection in the ear and put her on Otomax. It grew back a little, but as soon as the shot she received wore off, she eventually started licking the fur off again. They wanted us to bring her in so they could try a different medication that they (according to the 'nurse' I always speak to when calling) place way down into her ear, and it would last a week.I called the vet this morning to tell them that there was no way we could/would bring Ally in right now. The vet tech/nurse said that they were going to get us one of the Elizabethan collars a.k.a. The Cone of Shame and said she was going to get Ally a different medication, Prelone (sp?).Does anyone on here have any experience with using Prelone for their cats? Does it seem to work? If you've used it, how have you given it to your cats - pills, liquids, liquid mixed with food?

Prednisolone? It's a corticosteroid used to treat various inflammation issues. This will work to temporarily alleve the symptoms, but as I mentioned in your other posts, if you don't address the cause of the inflammation, the symptoms will come back.
