Sam was prescribed liquid Metronidazole for his pancreatitis 0.5 cc's twice a day "until gone" according to the prescription label. It says under "quantity" 5. Does this mean I will be giving him 10 separate doses? I ask because if that were the case, tonight would have been the last dose, but there is still liquid in the bottle. He absolutely hates the med and runs when he sees me coming with it, so I don't want to give him more than he needs (although sfter swallowing and foaming and slobbering and all that good stuff, he recovers quite well). Do I finish out the bottle? There is at least two more full doses, possibly three left. Will call the vet in the morning to confirm, but just wondering what everyone thought.
