Anyone aware of this condition?  Schofield has it.  I noticed the small bump at the end of his sternum but thought it was a tick, then maybe a cyst.  The vet said it's genetic.  Just wondering if there are any other conditions or problems associated with it.

The small tab of bone at the bottom of his sternum bends out.  You can't really see it but you can feel it.

I've never heard of it, but really doubt it's a problem.

The diaphragm attaches in part to the sternum, but I doubt it would attach to the bit you're concerned about, or even if it would cause problems if it did.  I imagine your vet would have said so if it did.

I've looked into sternums quite a bit as my boy has pectus excavatum, where his sternum turns in on itself.  That is of physical concern (although he doesn't seem to perturbed about it
)

My daughter is a nurse and she described some of the issues that humans can get with their sternums. I figured thereo were similar things in cats and other mammals. The article I read was directed to breeders, asking them not to use kittens with certain conditions, one of which was abnormal sternum. I guess that term was used to describe any issue.

Hope your boy continues to be unperturbed!
