cats with different appetites

My 5m cat is a bit of a picky eater, female.  My new male kitten 12wk has a big appetite (he has had his worm meds with one more dose, feces neg).  Once he has gobbled his food in, he will head over to older cat's food and take over.  She doesn't seem to care.

Any thoughts on how to manage. - ?feed in separate areas?

Feeding in separate areas is one idea. Another is start her eating, then feed him.  Or give her food and then give him about half of his, and when he finishes slooowly give him the other half.
