Hello, i'm mew!

Hi, i've got 2 cats, boodika and raymond. ray is about 9 weeks, boo is just about 2 years. i do need some help. on two things. ray the kitten bullys my older cat... if you introduce a kitten to a house with an older cat in it and the cat goes for the kitten, you pick the kitten up, correct? well, boo is pretty much untouchable when she's all hissy... what should i do? also, my kitten brought an infestation of fleas in with him, and both cats are being affected. i live in the uk, and dawn dish soap blue isn't available for me. what should i do?

Hi booandraymond.. welcome to TCS! 

It sounds like you could do with some links, as introducing new cats to the family needs to be done in a certain way... have a read through this.. it may be a good idea to go through the whole process again.  I know that sounds like a lot of work, but it really is worth it:

As for the fleas.. that really isn't good, as they will go through the whole house and a flea-ridden house is my idea of a nightmare!  It is also so unpleasant for your cats. I've never even heard of using dishwash for fleas and really wouldn't recommend it.

If you can, buy some Revolution.. you will need one for kittens and one for cats.  It isn't cheap but it is very effective.

Thankyou, I'm not sure that i have enough space in my house for them to be kept apart all the time. they do seem to be getting on more though, boo doesn't hiss as much. i think she's realised he's here to stay, as when she hisses i pick ray up.
