I suck at bowling!

I went to dinner and then bowling this evening. I've only ever bowled 5 pin and I'm not very good! I haven't bowled in decades and can't remember what I used to average with 5 pin.

Tonight we were 10 pin bowling. I've never done that before. I kept forgetting to let go of the ball,  lol  And it was 3 frames or whatever they're called before I actually knocked some pins down.  The guy got tired of having to come and remove stuck gutter balls and finally insisted that we needed to use the bumper things to cover the gutters,  lol

We booked the lanes for 2 hours and ended up playing a total of 3 games. I only played one because at the end of it my back was toast. I watched the next 2.  I managed to get 1 strike, and got a total of 66 points for the game.  That was 60 more than I had expected to get, hehe

It was fun though. 

I don't bowl because of my back. And I'm bad at bowling. Really bad.

When I was in college, we had to have 3 phys-ed type classes. I took a bowling class, with the understanding that I only had to bowl a couple of frames and then take the exam. If I passed the exam, did OK with the few frames, I could get the credit. Even by the end of two frames, my back was hurting. But I got the credit, largely thanks to Rick who has been bowling now for the last 30 years or so.

We did 3 games. I only played the first one.

You would think it would be easier to knock down pins with a big ball, but it isn't. Even the light balls are heavy!!  My shoulder and neck are rather sore today.
 

Bowling is fun, whether one's terrible or an expert!
 

I used to be part of a league. When that wasn't in session, I'd used to go and bowl a game or two by myself for a little exercise

It was fun!  There were 10 of us (3 boys under age 9). We had a lot of laughs.
 

I used to be on a team long ago with my mom and others  before I got married.. Don't  worry my highest score was only 124. I haven't bowled   recently and I do miss it but can't bowl now cause my back.
