The only way I can drink my coffee is HOT! I drink it more for the caffeine at 4 a.m. than for the taste. I was drinking gourmet coffee (high end quality beans) years before there was a Starbucks.
Thought strangely, a couple of years ago there was a 'healthy choice' ice cream in the grocery stores that I kind of liked: coffee mocha.
A couple of years ago, my sister got me making iced coffee out of whatever was left over from the last pot. Our coffee maker has a thermos carafe, so it doesn't get bitter.
My coffee needs to be hot, too....I can't drink cold or iced coffee. Hot and black for me; no flavors, no sugar, no cream. Rick loves iced coffee and we just bought a box of Nantucket Blend Brewed Over Ice kcups for him, largely because he wanted to try it and I had a coupon and it was on sale. He hasn't tried it yet.
I remember years ago thinking coffee should be hot and tea should be iced (grew up in Texas). But then I discovered iced coffee in the mornings - most mornings it was just too hot for a hot drink. The cool creamy coffee was a nice start to a scorching day. I know there's a practice to drink hot liquids to cool down but it has never worked that way for me!
I'd chill the coffee and add ice and rice dream. These days I would probably add cream but it's too cold so I need coffee hot here.
yes, this stuff is very good, I agree - My local coffee house calls this "toddy", they told me it has more caffeine than regular brewed, very smooth - I do like to drink it black and chilled - great pick me up in the summer
