Hello all. I decided to finally join after reading a lot here. I have three boys.
Bradley is a 2 1/2-year-old tabby and white domestic short-hair. I had a neighbor that works for animal control, and one night he brought over a tiny, flea-covered dirty little kitten, and I became a crazy cat lady. Brad is the top cat and very serious about his job. He's a good big brother, but the only human he likes is me.
"Bonded" doesn't do justice to our relationship. I can't remember what it's like to go to the restroom or take a bath alone.
Kenny is a 1 1/2-year-old black Maine Coon. I wanted to get Bradley a big sister, but my mother saw Kenny at the pound and insisted that he is the one, and she was right. He's a talkative goofball who worships his big brother. He's nobody's cuddle bunny, as he prefers verbal attention and interactive play. I had to put a baby latch on the treat drawer, because he's nuts for treats.
Patrick is brand new. He's a tabby of unknown age. I ordered a pizza one night, and when it was delivered there was a very loud, very skinny kitty behind the pizza guy. He has just recovered from illness and just got neutered Friday. He tested negative for FIV, but has to stay isolated until he's tested again next month. He's very affectionate and can't wait to meet his brothers. I've tried playing with him, but all he wants to do is cuddle and purr.
The boys are house cats, but Brad and Kenny love to go out on their harnesses, and I just ordered one for Patrick as well. I have no idea how this is going to work with three of them, because with two it's all I can do not to be drawn and quartered.
I look forward to meeting all of you and your babies. I'm sure I'll be begging for advice when I introduce the boys to their new brother. I'm also looking forward to interacting with people who don't think I'm nuts for having three cats (or a living room that looks like a kitty playground).
