Sojo cat food question

Does any one here feed sojos freeze dried if so how good is it? How long does a 4lbs bag last you per 1 cat? How much water to add per serving?
And how do you switch your pet?

It says on the website that one cup equals to 346 calories. So if you do 1/2 cup you'll be giving around 173. I guess it depends on your cat's activity level and size if you wanna figure out how long four pounds will last.

The ingredients for Sojo's Grain-Free Turkey Complete are the following:

USDA turkey, sweet potato, whole egg, broccoli, celery, apples, flax meal, pecans, tricalcium phosphate, pumpkin, cranberries, basil, dried alfalfa, ginger root, dried kelp, zinc sulfate, vitamin E acetate, vitamin A palmitate, vitamin D3

All the veggies (broccoli, celery, apples, cranberries, alfalfa... etc.) seem like "filler" to me. If you want to do freeze-dried I recommend Stella & Chewy's but it is a lot more expensive, but I find that I don't feed a lot of it. Are you planning to use the Sojo's as part of your rotation or as your primary food?

Regarding the amount of water you add, I guess it also depends on cat to cat. Some like their food soupier, other more dry. I tend to add enough water to my cat's freeze-dried food so it's mushy, but not soupy.

What freeze dry do you feed?

And I might go with grandma Lucy artesan one instead I just found it lol I'm still curious on the sojo one

I feed Stella & Chewy's one day every week. It has pretty good ingredients, and my cat loves it dry and hydrated. The only thing I'd be concerned is that it has a higher percentage of bone (I believe), so if your cat has constipation problems I wouldn't feed it.

Overall though, I am happy with it.

How long does 1 bag last you for 1 cat?

Since I only use it one day out of the whole week, one large bag (12 ounce) it has lasted me for more than 6 weeks and I still have about a 1/4 of it left.

I'm not sure how long it'll last if I fed it solely. Wish I could help you out more.
