UTI

I have a male kitty that we just brought into our home. I noticed that he "chirps" when peeing and instead of using his litter box (he was doing quite well, mind you); I found him peeing behind my TV and again on my beanbag and each time, he stands it in the urine for a prolonged amount of time until his feet are soaked.

I am assuming UTI. Anyone else?

Is this the same kitty that is sick from the vaccines/medication? (your other thread http://www.thecatsite.com/t/260574/sick-kitten-after-rabies-vaccine-neuture( Or is this a different one? If it is the same kitty then you are taking him to the vet today anyway. If this is a different cat, then I would bring this one along to the vet with the kitten. Absolutely, this could very well be an urinary tract issue that needs addressing right away. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

Different kitty.  We're not having the best luck around here... makes me so upset! :(

This kitty started this behavior as of yesterday. He was behind my sofa on the stairs when I heard strange chirping and then spazzy  behavior, not long after he ran behind the TV and peed (while chirping) and then stood there and soaked his feet.  Today, same thing but this time on my beanbag.

Definitely take him to see a vet.

And another thing, do you feed him mostly dry or canned food?

Yes, you certainly are having a hard time with sick kitties right now. :hugs: :hugs: It's not easy when more than one (or two) get sick at the same time. :sigh:

Were you able to get a urine sample tested? Poor guy... :( MEGA MEGA :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes: for that UTI to clear up quickly.

Yes. Sample was positive. Thanks for the vibes!!! He takes his meds like a champ.

I've been leaving dry down all hours and feeding wet twice a day.
