Good morning everyone!
I just found a scab on one of my kitten's skin... it protrudes maybe one to two mm from the surface of the skin. I took them to the vet just under a week ago and they do have ringworm, but I'm not sure if this is ringworm as well... thoughts? The kitten did have a similar looking lession on his chest a little over a week ago but it didn't protrude as much as this one. It was scabby though. I put some lamisil on the chest one and it has reduced and fur is growing back.. so perhaps this is a similar thing? I'm waiting for the vet to call me saying that they have a liquid oral medication ready - they didn't have the correct dose for kittens available at the vet when I went so they had to have a pharmacy make it.
I attached a picture because that's probably more accurate than any description I could give. There's still fur... but as you can see there is a thin ring of hairloss surrounding the scab. I just noticed this aspect when taking the photo. It doesn't seem to bother him except when I just put cream on it in case it is ringworm. Sigh... my poor babies! I've had them for a couple weeks now and the ringworm came with them. They're both very playful so there's no lethargy.
