Over Da Bird

I have not captured any good Air Si pix yet, but I'm sure they will be forthcoming.   I finally received my order of Da Bird, the Fur Fun, Feather, Sparkler & 3 replacement bird attachments and Si has just gone crazy for that toy.

Like I have seen many others here mention, you absolutely must hide it & he seems downright agitated when I place it in the closet.  He dives into the closet slapping at it & meowing crazily.  LOL

But this is EXACTLY the toy I needed to help this little man burn off the excess energy he has at 11mos old.   He was only playing with his stuffed toys, turbo trak, chasing us, and the multitude of other fishing toys we have until he was bored, which still left a whole lot of energy built up.

Da Bird takes about 5-6min to have him panting, ready for a big drink of water & some snuggling or a nap.  I must say the level of deep nap he takes after a serious play session, also compliments being able to trim nails & reapply Soft Paws almost completely unnoticed.   One happy cat Mom here!

Noodles does the same!  The vet had heard a murmur in her heart before so I try not to let her get to the point of panting. But when she sees that thing...it's like you just see her primal nature come out.

After him seeing it & helping me tear it out of the box when it arrived so he could get his paws on it - he was panting pretty good after the first 4-5min.   Although he has a clean bill of health, I do try to listen to when he's just starting to breath hard, short of panting, before letting him "catch" it then try to sneak it away & back into the closet.   LOL

We are just
over here.  Only one day into ownership of this toy & Si is just incorrigible when you attempt to put it away.   When you even near the closet we keep it in he's howling at the door, pacing circles around the door & us, when you go open the door to put it up, he may (and has) run right up your back & start slapping at it over your shoulder.  Funniest thing I ever saw!

Mollipop does that, too. We used (USED) to keep Da Bird on top of the fridge in the kitchen. Well, after finding her on top of the fridge too many times to count, I started putting it on top of my desk in the computer room.....and we found her on top of my desk. Now we keep Da Bird in the hall closet. I can't tell you how many times I see her sitting in front of that closet door. Or stretching up and pawing at the door. Or yelling at me to PUH-LEESE get Da Bird out!

And Muffin! Heavens, she loves Da Bird, too! When I first started playing with her with Da Bird, she would get out of breath so quickly. When Mom had Muffin, nobody really played with her that much and she was getting overweight; the slightest moves would get her out of breath quickly. Now? She'll fly up to try to reach Da Bird....I've never seen a cat leap so high in the air. Back and forth, back and forth in the living room. She still gets out of breath, but now it takes her awhile. She loves that thing, too.

As soon as we open that closet door, we have 3-4 cats waiting very impatiently for their turn.

We get Da Bird out for about an hour or so pretty much every night. I think it's one of the best interactive toys around for a cat. Or cats, as the case may be here.

I want to get Da Bird too but I don't know where to get it?  I ordered one from this place called Coco & Pud in Australia and eventually determined they were out of business and eventually got my $27 back through my bank.  But still I have no Da Bird and Poe (my cat) is seriously considering turning me in to the ASPCA for neglect.   Any help ????  where does Da Bird reside?  On a shelf somewhere that I have never seen ... :)

Where do you live, kittymommy? Most pet stores in my area in the US have them, as does Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=da-bird&tag=&tag=thecatsite
Yeah!  OK, cool.  Well you see I had heard that there was the "true" Da Bird and one that was a knock off and that the knock off wasn't very good.  So I was trying to get the "true" Da Bird when I sent off for it from Australia.  I live in Oklahoma City, so Amazon is perfect for us.  Thank you so much!  Oh, and Poe thanks you too.  :)  YEAH!!!

I think that is true. I've noticed the Pet Smart near my house doesn't have Da Bird or its refills, though it has similar-looking knock-offs. I don't buy them, as they don't look as good, and usually get my refills at a Pet Supplies Plus farther away.

But the first couple results on Amazon are the real deal. Gracie & Squeak's "grandma" ordered it for them via Amazon.

Since I could not find all the attachments I had made notes of from this site -- I went ahead and ordered direct from the manufacturer:   Go-Cat Feather Toys.

It did take about 8 days before my order arrived, but I paid for no expedited shipping charges.  I was able to order the attachments & refills I wanted all at once, rather than continue hunting them from store to store, or online.
