Hi! Recently i rescued two kittens found at our local freds. The little boy i noticed first. Meowing & begging for attention & love trying to enter the store. Than i heard a meow in the propane tank cage. I asked an employee to unlock it & hiding in the back was his sister. She was scared but friendly so I took them home. I'd say they are 8-10 weeks. Both seem healthy but i noticed the sisters ears are idk deformed. I googled it. Either its the result of burns or more likely cauliflower ear. I assume they are drop offs as they know what the cat food bags are & run if i open a can of food. They seem healthy & playful. She seems to hear fine & took to a collar great. Should i worry? She seems happy and there is no swelling etc.

Honestly, from the picture, i don't really see anything like cauliflower ear.  What it almost looks like to me is when they have been TNR'd and they get one ear clipped so people know they have been neutered, but surely that isn't the case if they are that young and don't appear to be feral.

BUT, any time you rescue babies like this it's wise to take them for a vet visit just to make sure they are in good health, and to start they baby shot series, plus they may need deworming.

You've got other cats/kittens already there, right?  You should probably keep these two separate from the others until they get a clean bill of health from the Vet, just in case.

Thank you, BTW, for rescuing these little cuties

If they were dumped, as they surely were, they can also have been abused. Somebody going hard on her ears...  Hopefully not doing too much damage.  Explaining perhaps why she is more shy than her bro.

In the rest, I do second MrsGreenJeans.

Tx for helping these two small brethrens of ours!

Good luck!

I can't separate them as momma cat is in bathroom & mooch and meow are in spare. They stick to themselves though. They sit on the couch, my cats stick near the kitchen. They only eat together. I did check them out, as did a family friend. They seem fine. Alot of my time has been on Aiko. He likes to eat more wet food than he should & throw it back up after play time -_-" dry food he eats as hungry, wet food he tries to gorge himself. Even if given his own amount off away from the others
