We caught some kittens at my work. I'm unsure exactly of age.  I'm trying to contact the rescue I know to see if they can take them.  I don't see why they wouldn't - they've always taken the kittens from me (notsomuch the adult cats).  In any case,  I've given them some Weruva shredded wet chicken as that is all I have in my office. I have them in a big box.  They are a little scared but I can hold and pet them. They settle down very quickly.  I may have to take them home tonight and put in my bathroom.  Are there any concerns I should be aware of.  I have two cats so clearly I will keep them separated.

No special concerns, just the normal:  separation of course, small room; ear plugs (for you....); possible diarrhea from change of diet/worms.  Double-check that the cats can't escape into HVAC ducts.

Thanks for taking care of these cutties!

Thanks.  We just caught a third one, a calico that we're calling 'hissy bitch' for now. She was not happy about being caught.  They aren't eating the food, which I assume is because they are a bit scared.  What if they don't eat? Will they use a litter pan if I put one out for them?

When I fostered a four week old kitten for a while, I got a huge box from work, lined it with puppy pads (that way if they go, it wont be on the floor or anything) and put in a little electric blanket (or heating pad) so they'd feel like they were with their mama. If those cats are eating wet food, then they're probably 6-7 weeks, any younger and they'd still need bottle fed. They're adorable!! And you're such a good person for taking them home. They might not eat much right away but they won't starve themselves. Just make sure they have plenty of water. Not many feral kittens will use the litterbox right away, if you see them scratching the carpet or squating with their tale straight up or diagonal, they're about to do their business so try to put them in a litterbox so they get the idea. Sometimes you have to take their paw and gently make them scratch the litter a few times, I've done this with all my cats when they were kittens and they got the idea pretty quickly. Good luck!! Please update us too with more pictures when you can :)

Also, don't use clumping litter for a bit. Kittens can eat their litter and clumping is not very digestible. You might also want to get some KMR (kitten milk replacement). They may drink that from a shallow dish, even though they don't eat wet food. They are precious.
