The study was only as re: initial shot, one-year booster, and titre testing with "virulent rabies challenge" after three years.

Link to the actual study abstract as opposed to the Winn Feline blog: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23059358

From the abstract:

This vaccination regimen induced a strong and sustained antibody response, and all vaccinated animals were protected against virulent rabies challenge carried out 3 years after vaccination.
Apparently they didn't do testing after that, but I don't have the study and don't know.

I'm glad to see this though I know it will take years before the laws are changed to allow the PureVax to become a three year shot. Still..it's a step in the right direction, isn't it?

Absolutely. Having the research to support a more appropriate vaccination schedule is the first step.
