I took my cat to the vet and he was not letting the vet give him his shot, he was so mad we had to take him home without his vaccination. Then I let him out because he wanted to go outside but its been a week and he still hasn't come home.. I don't know what to do or where I went wrong

The mistake was letting him out, particularly so soon after the unproductive vet visit. There are some things that you can do to try to get him to come home.

Look for him at dawn and dusk, that is when cats are most active. Look fairly close to your house, looking in and under everything. Carry a flashlight and shine it around you periodically, watching for eyes glowing.

Put his food bowl out about half an hour before you go looking for him, and bring it back in when it gets dark (to keep other animals out of it)

Put something that he has slept on, like an old sweatshirt with both of your scents on it, out when you put the food bowl out.

Don't give up on him, he may come sauntering up to your house at any time.

Put up notices around where you live, asking people to keep an eye out for him. Start a new account on g-mail or hotmail that doesn't give your real name or any personal information. Don't register any credit or debit cards to that account.  Use that as the contact address.
