Hello, I need some advice for my cat.
Very recently he was constipated. I think he is cleared up now although I can't be 100% sure. He's gone to the bathroom on his own and defecates at least once every 1-2 days.
We've moved him from a primarily dry food diet to a primarily wet/canned food diet with only 1/4-1/2 cup of dry food a day.
Starting yesterday though, he's begun eating less than he normally does. He'll eat most of the half of a can of wet that I give him, but not all and he only picks at his hard food.
So I'm wondering if I should be worried?
Some information about him:
He is a nearly 6 year old medium furred cat, weighing about 9-10 lbs.
He's still very active and chipper.
He's been quite chatty recently, but not in a 'I'm in pain' sort of way.
I was thinking of removing all food from him for the night and seeing about feeding him in the morning and seeing if he's more amenable to it. Leaving his water out, of course.
