Thanks, Merrick. To try the new dry food or switch brands...

Okay come on, that picture is so darn cute!! Jeez!

Yep, of course the price goes up, reason? Not the ingredients!

Are they doing away with the canned as well?

My cats are on all canned and I can give them some bg chicken or soulistic sometimes, but they are super picky grain free eaters...

It's not that much more expensive. . .on the site I order from, BG is $2.16 a pound (they still have some at www.chewy.com if you want to buy a few bags ;)) and Purrfect Bistro is $2.41 a pound. So not a ridiculous price increase; only 25 cents a pound. It'll maybe increase your costs by 12 cents a day :tongue2:. I'd probably try the adult formula. . .it's higher in protein and lower in fat so it might help them keep a healthy weight without increasing carbs too much. I think I'd stick with Merrick at least at first, and if they don't do well on the new formula you can switch brands later. The ingredients look similar enough that I don't think there should be too much trouble.

agree with Willowy that if you switch, stick with the Adult formula for the higher protein rather than go with the Healthy Weight.  Higher protein is actually better for weight loss

Adorable picture, BTW

I hope it's not. They can be buttheads. I'm going to Atlantic City on Thursday, so I'm planning to call Petcos along the way and see if they have any left in stock. But eventually, they'll have to transition... oh well.
