My daughter has 2 full grown cats ( mother /daughter ) the daughter is the mother to my Thunder. My question is this; The grandmother Baby was outside and brought 2 ticks back in with her and my daughter had gotten them both off with tweezers. Now I want to know how often should a cat be checked for ticks ? I know about the fleas ( when you itch, check )

Daily, I suppose, if they go outside daily. And it would be a good idea to use a spot-on like Frontline or Revolution (Revolution is only approved to kill one kind of tick, though).

Can you treat them with a topical product? Revolution, advantage, etc. Ticks and fleas can give them diseases, so it would be better to prevent bites before the little buggers latch on. If not, I'd check them every time the cats come back inside from their adventures.
