So I have this 5/6 week old kitten, she was found alone outside by a neighbor and I decided to raise her. I've raised kittens before but I just have a question about this little girl and her behavior.

She's not drinking her kitten milk anymore and is on wet food only at the moment and she's not drinking water. I know that when they have wet food they can get the moisture they need from that but not drinking at all? Is that normal?

She likes to check out where my cats have their water bowls and will "nurse" the carpet next to the bowl. When she was showing interest in kibbles I had to mix it with her milk and she would drink/eat it,the second I put any amount of water in she wasn't interested.

She's not visibly sick and is just as hyper and playful as ever,is going to the bathroom normally and so on. I just thought I would ask!

Good you do ask. As you said, when they live on all out wet food, they dont need to drink much, perhaps just occasionally.  Other forumites had also observed this, their kittens dont seems to drink any water, if they live on canned wet food.

It may be so this canned contains a trifle too much water, making you pay extra for it. But it doesnt disturb your cat.   :)

If you want them to drink for sure, you can invest in a cat water fountain. Cats usually love them.

They are seldom really needed for cats like here, but quite often for cats who eat only dry food. THESE cats often drink too little.

Good luck!
