I lost 1.03# this week..less than I wanted, but it's a loss and I am grateful for it!  Went to my husband's company party this week, and realized I finally feel like I look normal..still overweight, but normal.  I am rapidly changing pants size and am having to buy new jeans fairly frequently, and have rewarded myself with some lacey undies and bra :)
Yay you!

 I think that's wonderful!

You are smack dab in the middle of the normal range with your height and current weight.

If you drop to 105, you will be at a bmi considered underweight.  I hope you will instead think of what it is you wish were different - if you want to be more toned, or athletic, there is yoga or various ways of exercising to change your shape/tone your body.  You wouldn't be considered overweight until you had a bmi of just over 24.  You are not overweight, nor close, truly!

I agree with Pat. But it really depends on your body and how you look and feel. 105 pounds for somebody who is 5' 4" is way low. I'm about 5' 5" and at 119 pounds, I pretty much look like a walking skeleton and I realize that. My cheeks sink in and I actually have people ask me if I'm OK.

Quite often people think they have to lose weight when it may just a matter of getting some exercise. Maybe a bit of walking or some cardio. And then working out a bit with some weights to give your body some definition and some toning. You would still lose inches, but not necessarily weight.

Just my two cents.

I hope this will be okay to share here.  You all know that I love to cook, and am a semi-serious foodie.  The fact that I'm also in the process of losing a large amount of weight, doesn't change this.

I wanted to share my Christmas day menu, which will be on plan for how I am losing my weight.  I would love to see what others have planned too - please share!

Christmas breakfast: scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and lemon cream.  Decaf coffee, 1 oz. half and half.

lunch:  shrimp and zucchini balls (no bread or complex carbs in this recipe) with caper cream. Salad of romaine with celery and scallion, and Newman's Olive Oil and Vinegar dressing.

Dinner: homemade roasted cauliflower and leek soup
             homemade marinated mushrooms

tossed salad with more of the newman's dressing
stuffed chicken breasts (using a paleo cookbook recipe for a stuffed turkey breast, but using chicken instead and adding to the filling) stuffed with 1 oz. Taylor Pork Roll, fresh baby spinach, fresh mushrooms.

Either a piece of gluten-free homemade sfincione OR 2 pieces dark chocolate with nuts OR 1 of my lemon walnut pinwheel cookies.

1-2 oz. of our homemade holiday spiced vodka.  Decaf vanilla hazelnut coffee with 1 oz. half and half.

It's Friday. I hopped on the scales to assess the damage. 1.4 kgs up. I'm halfway through the day and I've made very good choices so far. Anyone else climbing back on the wagon with me? I'm not doing anymore damage.

I am not going there yet. I did get on the scales yesterday....it was ugly. But we have another Christmas on Saturday (and I'm eating some lasagna and homemade bread) and then there's New Year's Eve coming up. I know I'm not going to behave food-wise yet, so I'm not going back on the wagon. Not yet.

I am not binging or anything like that. And I'm taking cookies and such into work every day. Between the cookie boxes I mailed out this year and the cookies that I've given away to family and friends, we don't really have many left. And I'm not complaining.

I will go back on the wagon next Thursday, January 2.

Pat, your menu sounded delicious!

Like Pam, I'm not back on the wagon yet. I've got a few more things coming up and way too much bad in the house. I have given away lots of the bad stuff at least. Aaron has the rest of the year off and he wants to do a few day trips. I want to fit some walking in. I'm waiting to see how icy it is this morning.

Don't hate me folks, I've just got a longer journey to go than most of you (if not all of you) and I've been at this a long time figuring it out. I just finally did is all.

I lost 1.27 lbs. this past week.  Not sure I'll have a loss to record as of next Friday, but I'll hopefully, at least maintain.  All I know is that in 2014 I will see a 1 again in front of my weight and I **can't** wait!

PAT!!!! That is great!!!!:clap::clap::clap::clap: There is no hate, that is for sure. I am my own enemy, but I do have to say that with the bad eating I don't feel as well these days either, I am just a lot more sluggish. That alone is motivation for me to get back on the wagon. Plus all of my new clothes are getting tight and since I packed away all the bigger sizes on purpose, I have to get back into it.

TY...it was a mistake in that on a holiday, why did I decide it would be fun to cook 3 new recipes that day?  LOL.  Too much time in the kitchen was spent!

You will.  It's no exaggeration to say I've been working on this, off and on (that's the problem..those off times..lol) since I got married!  Ty :)
