Hello everybody, my heart is broken into a million pieces right now:-(

Here is what happened. I know an elderly couple that started feeding a kitty that turned out to be pregnant. I got worried and offer to take the cat to be spayed after she had her kittens. I saw her and she was very pregnant. The problem was she hid her kittens and brought them to their house when they were already feral. The wife loves the mommy cat and told me she wanted her spayed so I made the appointment and I started going there to try and tame the babies to find homes for them.

Well to my horror, she called me yesterday and told me her husband was angry abd couldn't stand the kittens anymore and took them and abandoned them somewhere and the mom too ! The appointment to have her spayed was today ! And that evil man couldn't just wait a few days, she will be in heat soon and she is now on the streets . I feel angry and disgusted!

Sometimes I just can't stand the cruelty of human beings... Just can't take it anymore! I was helping them and look what happened.

This is so upsetting because it reminds me of all the animal abuse I witnessed all my life. Whenever I found a kitty or a puppy, my father took him from me and abandoned it on the streets and I cried my eyes put and nobody cared. My grandfathet hated animals too and I wont go into details, but he hurt them and kill them too.

Sorry for saying all this, I'm just so sad! This is why U can't stand animsl abuse. I still remember and cry for every animal that was taken from me and I will resent my father for it all my life...

Not fun. But you at least spared the cost to yourself... So you can try to help again somewhere else.

Besides, your fostering tries are surely not in wain. Tx to this, these kittens may perhaps get adopted somewhere else...  You DID gave them a chance, even if you werent lucky to help them in 100%.

I do have another, somewhat similiar memory of this sort. The thoughless cruelty, sometimes not even conscious.

It was this "feel good" bok, about an match maker in India. Mister Ali´s  marriage office...

(pairing couples for marrying).

One coming pair was  people from different casts (or different races in other countries).

And so he told a sweet story about this white persian cat his friend had.  She got out, and mated. 9 weeks later she got 4 kittens, apparently mixes, with different colors and fur lenghts. But she didnt minded it. She loved them, nursed, washed, took care in the very best way.  When they were 8 weeks, his friend the owner took the kittens, went to the fish-marked with them and leaved them there.  End of story.

The probable point of the writer was, the owner was doing them good, they should survive nicely at this fish market, perhaps even be adopted...

For me, as a modern reader, and cat friend, this was shocking, destroying the whole book.  This meaningsless cruelty, abandoning a home raised litter...  and the writer, surely a nice chap, didnt even noticed this was a horrible crime...

I'm so sorry about your situation. It does get frustrating when people are so thoughtless and cruel. I would keep an eye out at the lady's house (the lady may help here, on the QT against the old man). Cats will often try to find their way "home" so mommy may do that. The kittens may follow her, if you are lucky. I can only hope this is what happens, unless you can worm the location where the old man dropped her out of him.

Wish I knew a police detective who'd be wiling to grill him! He can actually be charged with animal cruelty, if your local animal control has any teeth. Ours will only pursue that if there's "proof."

I will say a little prayer for them all, poor dears.

I had offered to have a neighbors female done and day before they took her somewhere...never saw her again.  I was able to use the slot for a female I had who was a bit younger then the 4 month minimum but nothing was said.

Hugs to you as I know the feeling.  Hopefully at the minimum they will end up spay/neutered at a feral colony or someone else with a heart will take them on.

I am so sorry that you are going through this.  Is is beyond cruel what that man did.  I cannot understand why people think it is ok to just dump animals.  It is why the problem with so many strays and ferals continue.

They may yet find their way back to you or hopefully to some other kind sole who will help them out.

Could you ask where he took them?  Could you call the police and report him?  If it were me, I would try to find out where he took them.

The story just breaks my heart.

My husband and I found and adopted a "dumped" kitty more than 13 years ago.  We found him in a parking lot far from any dwellings or farms, and when I clucked at him, he came tearing over to me.  His name is Gary, and I have never for an instant regretted giving him a home.

I hope the kitties you knew will find a willing and loving protector, like my Gary.

I'm so sorry and I can understand how upsetting you are and I have never. Been able to understand how people can be so cruel to animals and it happens so often around the world with so many different animals it really is appalling and people get away with it every day. You did what you could do and as luckily there are more people who love and care about animals than not and hopefully the mom and babies will be rescued by another kind sole.

Thank you all. The problem is the kittens needed more time to be tane, they are scared of people, but the mom was a sweetie. I feel sad because I couldn't help more, I couldn't take them home because I don't have the space and I can't afford to have more cats here. Lucas is doing good and I really can't upset him bringing home more cats.

I pray tgey can fund homes somehow. They din't want to tell me where they left the kitties, they are not happy with me because I was upset when they told me what they did. She is a really nice lady but her husband has no patience.

HUGS to you - I would be heartbroken too.   So many times I have seen it happen that just as the neglectful person is about to get help for their pets they do something to sabotage it at the last minute.   In fact this is happening in my life right now in two cases which I won't go into for now.   It is as if they can't stand to see a happy ending!   Or perhaps allowing someone to volunteer to help feels like an admission that they are doing wrong in the first place???    I'll pray for those kitties - I hope they find their way to kind  hearts.

Honestly I would threaten to call the police if they refuse to tell you where they took them. Tell them what they did was a crime and they will be charged (even if that may be a lie). I know you like this woman and probably don't want to start drama but this may save the cats. If they refuse report them to animal control and the police. I think getting people who do these terrible things to animals punished may be the only way to stop it. Once people realize their actions are illegal they may stop

Anyway to have a friend convince them she is the owner and the cat is her cherished kitten/cat who got out many months ago...witha  reward offered if possible  I am not one for lying but it may pull on them enough

The problem is I wanted to help them by getting the mom cat spayed and find hones for the babies, but I couldn 't take them home, it is impossible for me right now. My Lucas is a sick cat and he is doing better now, can't put his health at risk.

And I can't call thecpolice because they are very old people who are sick. There's nothing I can do, tha is why it hurts.

I love and defend animals, but can't do something against people like them.

I would call a rescue in your area and mention it.  Maybe they can be on the look out for any kitties that fit your description and let you know if they find them!

I understand it is a difficult situation. I was more hoping if you threatend to call the police they would tell you where they dumped the cats. Anyway sending you and the cats good vibes- I hope someone finds them!
