Can't stay out of Walmart. Everytime I go there for just 1 or 2 items I end up buying a ton of stuff. Their prices are really so competitive with the local supermarkets --- usually not just a few cents, but a substantial amount.

Should have bought stock in that store years ago.

I usually don't shop at Walmart. Maybe once or twice a year. The stores are always kind of dirty but they do have cheap prices. The Walmart where my parents live is very clean though, just not either of the two around here. Lol.
I usually shop at target.

I used to love shopping at Wal-Mart but not any more.  I think it's a sad shell of the store it used to be and the founder - Sam Walton - would be very ashamed of how far it's fallen from his original ideas and promises to the employees and customers.  :(  I shop at Target, Family Dollar, really any store but Wal-Mart.

Love Walmart prices for clothes. But for food I may go to Aldi or Krogers.

Our Walmarts here in FL are clean --- only problem is that lots of the employees do not speak English. So if you need to ask where something is, it's usually a gamble.

I can't stand Walmart. There's several around me, and all of them are very messy and unkempt. The workers just don't care, and it's always way too packed with customers.

Additionally, I work closely with Walmart through my company.. the trouble they give me, makes me NOT want to give them my money. THEY should be giving me a discount for all the crap they put me through for their items.

When I lived in very rural middle Georgia, Walmart was the place to shop. Where I live now, this one is terrible. I can only get certain things there, so I sometimes have to go there. Otherwise I'd prefer never to shop there.

OMG! I love, love, love walmart!!!!!!!!  Especially the ones in the US!

I went down at the end of May to North Dakota and bought 3 tops for $1.50 each!!!!  Brand new! Nothing wrong with any of them.  And my friend bought 4 dresses for around $5.00 each. Gorgeous ones too! I would have bought but they didn't have my size. I take a 4X or 5X depending on the style. They only had 3X.

I have been to three different ones here which isn't all of them here but all of them I have been too are dirty and the people who work there are rude.  I have only gone there for specific things like my printer, printer ink and paper when I was school.  Their prices are really good but I can't buy food in a store that looks dirty.  There used to be a supermarket chain here called Big Bear that was like that.  They closed several years ago.  I remember a woman that I used to work for would only shop at Big Bear.  She was one of these people who always dressed really nice, make-up, every hair in place and nails done and it really surprised me that she did all her grocery shopping at Big Bear.

The one closest to me gets my business. No complaints except every time I find a product I love, they stop carrying it.

There is one thing I don't like about Walmart. when there is a long line in the 10 items or less no other lines open.

What? You mean there are stores other than Walmart in some places? :tongue2:

It's almost all we have. So not a lot of shopping options. And about half of my relatives work at Walmart. . .OK, only 4 :lol3:. My brother and my aunt and 2 of my cousins. And quite a few of my friends. Well, I guess there aren't a lot of options for employment here either! ;)

But it's not bad. The one in my parents' town is deliberately understocked in the summer (it's a college town), so that kind of stinks. But otherwise they're generally clean and well-run around here.

Love Aldis:)  I enjoy the limited selection cause I know most of the stuff I have had is good so grab and go.  I do other stores for coupon matchups/sales.  Every so often they will have a stock issue with certain items but mostly they got it right!

Try the baked potato chips at Aldi, very good.
I have tried them and you're right they are very good.  They also have very good granola bars and their multi-grain honey nut (like Cherrios) cereal is so good and no one else makes it like them.  I also now can get the lactose-free milk at Aldi's they used to not carry it, but now they have a 2% and Fat Free option.  Also, their hummus is to die for, they have some with garlic and some with red peppers.  Yummy!

The things I need that I can't get at Aldi's is very small now-a-days.  :)  I found out about Aldi's in Des Moines when I lived there in 1996/97 and then when I moved back to Oklahoma City (1998) there weren't any Aldi's here but about five or six years ago the Aldi's came to OKC and now there are several in the city.  :)

Sometimes I think this is funny: there's one store in the "nicer" part of town and people go to Aldi's in their BMW's lol ... and then closer to where I live you'll see people there driving the 1975 Caddy with duck tape keeping the trunk closed.  LOL!  :)

We were at Walmart again today. I still say their prices are so much better than our local supermarket (Publix). I buy Folgers coffee, 1/2 decaf, and it is at least $1 cheaper t Walmart than at the supermarket. When it's just pennies different I don't care, but $1 is a big difference in price, and the savings add up. The salt that we buy to put in the water softener unit is also $1 a bag cheaper than anyplace else. I know some Walmarts have their problems, but overall I find them great to shop in. There are still things we go to our supermarket for, but we find we're buying more and more at Walmart.
