My kitten is 7 Weeks old, she seems to have just one single brown/black splotch on her gums.

shes been acting pretty usual except sometimes she gets a little jumpy and twichy and darts around the room for a while, but for the most part shes doing her usual chewing on my fingers when I play with her, except she's begining to bite quite a bit harder. I don't know if the spot is agitating her teeth? should I consider taking her to the vet?

This is the spot in question

It's hard to tell if it's raised, but the soft tissue on cats is often either pink or black. My Sheldon has a big round black spot on the roof of his mouth, even though his lips, nose, and paws are pink. This is quite common.

However, if it's raised, it would be something the vet should have a look at.

Of course... with a 7 week old kitten new to you and your home, you'd want to get her to a vet for a check-up anyway! She'll need some vaccinations, she'll need to be spayed, and with a pet, it's always best to have a relationship with a vet, especially for those ... unexpected things that always seem to crop up. :rub:
