Good News! I got my apartment!

Just wanted to share my good news...I got my new apartment! YAY! It's amazing how much stress comes with moving & I felt a big relief when I was told that I got it. I've been worried sick since last week about it & I just dreaded having to search for more. Now I just need to worry about getting all the deposits & utilities turned on before I move on the 11th. Looks like I only have 6 days left at my home store & then I'll be on vacation for 8 wonderful days! Then the REAL adventure happens on the 20th...first day of training!

Just had to share the good news with you all. Thank you everyone for the support & encouragement the past few months. I really do appreciate it & it means so much to me! Thank you once again!

I'm going to the bank on Wed. to get a loan to pay for all my expenses & for furniture. Then on next Tuesday, I'm going up there to pay everything off & order my new furniture! I'm excited about getting furniture too! Man, I'm gonna blow a lotta cash on Tuesday!

Yep...I'm allowed to take my cats! It's 100 bucks for each cat & I'm still debating if I should take them both or not. I'm afraid Tiki will be lonely with out Echo or Bud...but yet I'm worried about Bud being lonely with out the girls. It's just a no win situation! I tried convincing Mom & Dad to get another kitty so Bud can have a playmate...but THAT got shot down it a big hurry!

hmmmmm will they only let you have 2? That's one thing I'm afraid of is what if one day I have to give up my house and move? I'm afraid I couldn't give up any of my babies. I'd end up living in a tent first!

Well...they told me I could have up to 3. Echo & Tiki are my kitties...Bud is actually my brothers kitty, but I've adopted him as my own!

I know what you mean about living in a tent...I told everyone that if I couldn't find a place that lets me take my cats, then I'm driving 3 hours round trip everyday to work! That would really suck, but they're worth it to me! Now...I don't have to worry about that!

Thanks Sunni! I'm actually ordering furniture from a local place called Rod Kush's Furniture Mart. It's a pretty nice place with good prices & good quality stuff. I figure I can order the stuff on Tuesday & they can deliver it on Saturday or the next Monday. They usually have everything in stock (the place is HUGE!)...plus they'll get the joy of carrying all of it up two flights of stairs! I plan on getting a new bed, a dresser, night stands, couch/loveseat, end tables & a coffee table. I'm still debating on a kitchen table or not...I've got room for it, but I might use the dining room as my computer room. But...we'll find out once we get in there!

As for my week off, I'll be using it for moving & unpacking. I figure it will give me several days to get everything settled in & I can enjoy the last couple of days before the new job. Maybe Ric & I can have a few days together? This long (well...some what long) distance relationship stuff is for the birds!

I'm so happy for you Shell! It's always a dilemma when you have to pick which cat out of a bundle. With me and my boys, when we go on trips we either take all or none (and have our landlord feed them, keep their little clean, and spend play time with them). They've been together since birth and I can't take two and leave one or take one and leave two.. they don't handle seperation too well.


Whatever you decide, it will be whats best for you and your babies, and it's also only temporary too.
