Evening all, nice and easy today

Did everyone have a nice weekend? Did you do anything nice?

I was at a Ford show on Sunday as the site I run had a show stand!  It was a brilliant day out fell in love with a couple of cars i've been told i'm not allowed, and I now have sunburn on one shoulder :S and my nose

I had a good weekend.  I got my first smart phone, so that was exciting.    I'm planning to have a dinner and movie with my daughters and their significant others on the weekend of the 21st for the release of the movie World War Z.  So I spent time Sunday trying to co-ordinate schedules and think of new places to try for the dinner portion.    If anyone has any recommendations for new places in OKC let me know. 

We had a good weekend too. There was a community yard sale we go to every year near own home. I love the community ones cause you don't have to get in the car and drive to the next one about 1 mile away. They also served hotdogs and cold drinks at a good price. We also spent time with the grandkids.

It was extremely tiring. I spent most of it marking exams and am still nowhere near finished.

I had a busy weekend!  I need a weekend to get over my weekend! 

Friday my FIL and nephew came for dinner on their way through town.  Nephew turns 16 soon so as a gift FIL took him to NYC for a few days.  It's a long car ride; so they spent the night at a hotel here in town (FIL is allergic to cats and I'm out of bedrooms to give him a better cat free place to stay).  That also meant we got to meet FIL's girlfriend.     

Friday was also our 10th wedding anniversary.  Nephew was our ring bearer and got snatched from the altar by MIL when he was about to start tossing the pillow in the air like a ball.  It was fun to tease him about what he was doing 10 years ago that day!    He was a character as a little kid; but he's turned into such a nice young man.  I'm really proud of him!!

Saturday DH and I dropped the kids off to my Mom and step-dad so we could go on a little date.  My step-sister was in town with her kids so DD got to have a slumber party at my Mom's house.  It was my step-sister's idea; but funny enough, when DH and I got there to pick up DS it was just my Mom and Step-dad there with 4 kids ages 3 and under!  3 spending the night!  God bless them!! 

Sunday was church, yard work, grocery shopping and 2 over tired kids.  Both were in bed early!!

We went for a walk both days and on Saturday I also went to a local farmer's market and tried to get some things done around the yard. Yesterday was also yardwork, and then we went out for a late lunch.

I went to a community festival on Saturday and it was fun. There were bands playing throughout the neighborhood on peoples porches, crafts and art, and food vendors. I also went hiking. It was nice and the weather was great. Now its back to rain.

We had a benefit for American Cancer Society with live music (local talent), great food, and various raffles.

My mother in law died of breast cancer in 1988 Every year I buy something to do with cancer. Like the shopping bags,pin, bracelets.

It rained so we just stayed in and watched tv alot. Saturday I was pretty tired and since I fell asleep husband just watched tennis and then he nodded out lol.  Dogs were angels to have let us sleep THAT long.
 

Rick has been working a lot of OT lately. And he went into work on Saturday morning from 5 to 10. While he was gone, I ripped through the house, to get cleaning finished. When he got home, we started running errands. By mid-afternoon he was pooped, so he took a much-needed break for an hour or so to re-charge while I worked in the yard a bit. We watched a movie on Saturday night.

Sunday was nice. My sister and BIL came over and we enjoyed homemade strawberry ice cream out by the pool. A nice night.

We didn't really go anywhere or get a lot done, but it was a nice weekend anyway.
