As soon as I got into work this morning, I connected my iPod to my computer to charge. I connected my phone to charge. And I connected my Nook to charge.
I think I'm too connected.

LOL, I'm in a similar situation. Maybe technology owns US!You think that's bad? I have an extension cord that comes up between the headboard and my mattress so I can plug in both Nooks, First Edition for reading and Color for surfing and playing Angry Birds, and the cell phone. Lazy? No. Efficient.

LOL, sounds like my first minutes at work! I tend to forget to charge things at home, so I bought a universal adapter and now just charge things at work.As soon as I got into work this morning, I connected my iPod to my computer to charge. Back in the 60s. Before the rise of the electronic masters. That's what we need!
I told Rick that when we put the island in the kitchen, one end of the island will be strictly for charging purposes. Shelves for the phones, the Nook, the cameras, etc. All charging away. He laughed at me. But I was serious!
Where would we be if we couldn't charge anything?!
Have you seen the outlets with USB plugs right in them? Pretty cool!! http://www.lowes.com/pd_369050-6337...et&pl=1¤tURL=?Ntt=usb+outlet&facetInfo=That's what we need!

:lol3: I have not seen those USB outlets!!!! That would certainly be helpful to have in my kitchen too!Have you seen the outlets with USB plugs right in them? Pretty cool!! http://www.lowes.com/pd_369050-6337...et&pl=1¤tURL=?Ntt=usb+outlet&facetInfo=
I saw one in a magazine that still had 2 standard plugs along with 2 USB ones. DH and I are thinking of installing something similar in our kitchen.
A Nook is a brand of an eReader. It's like a little tablet, only just for reading books. Others are Kindle, Kobo, VOX and I'm sure there are others. I have a Kobo and I never leave my home without it. I love to read and have dozens of books stored on it so I can always access a new one when I finish one. Much lighter than carrying around a bunch of paperbacks or hard cover books.I have no idea what a Nook is, so I don't think I share your problem
The one I linked to plugs in to an existing outlet I think. The one I saw in the magazine was designed to be hard wired into your house. Technology can be pretty cool sometimes!I have not seen those USB outlets!!!! That would certainly be helpful to have in my kitchen too!
I had to charge things up this morning too. IPad, Laptop, iPhone, Sonicare (toothbrush)!
Very nice. I have been looking for something like that. I carry a spare fully charged phone battery when I go further than town. I see it wouldn't recharge my Nook Color. It requires 2.1 amps on fast charge and 800ma on trickle charge. I have been looking at solar, but they are expensive and don't have the power to charge an e-reader/tablet.I bought a portable charger to carry with me. It's literally the size of a lipstick tube.

It is only good for small things like iPODs and phones. And I find that it doesn't give 100% charge before it is depleted, but it's good in a pinch. I charge it up and carry it around and for those times when my cell phone runs really low, I plug the phone into the charger and can get about 50% battery charge. Then when I get home I recharge the Halo.
