I'm a sucker when it comes to the kitties.....I ordered the Cat's Meow toy from the TV commercial.  They rip you off on shipping....charge it twice because they send you 2 of the toys.  Plus...I suckered for the upgraded version with 3 speeds and a random pattern setting.  They ended up being $22.50 each.....I have been feeling stupid all week.

But....they came yesterday.  I picked up batteries this morning and put one out this afternoon....all three cats have been totally mesmerized by this thing for over an hour!!  I finally picked it up because they have been at it so long.  I'm actually impressed at how durable this thing is.

Tried to upload the video, but it wouldn't load....so here is a youtube link:

I've been thinking about buying that!  Gosh, sorry the shipping is so high but I bet it wouldn't stop me either.  I bought something recently that came from Canada, a puzzle box.  Shipping was ridiculous.  Cocoa loves it but as it turns out for all the wrong reasons.  While she enjoys trying to get stuff out of it, she's also discovered it makes a fine bed.  It's now a concave box.  Whatever.  It's making her happy lol.

Anyway, glad to hear the good review on the Cats Meow.  Might break down and order it.

Are your cats still using the toy?  I've been thinking about getting one for my cats.

There are many versions of this toy available from larger pet stores.  Amazon has one called "Undercover Mouse" for $17.26.  How long do the batteries last?  They also have a Cat's Meow version for about $25.  Can't tell what the differences are.

I play that game with my kitties by waving my hand or a stick around under a blanket. I call it "blanket monster". They love it! I don't think I would want to spend $25 plus batteries on something that I can do for free, though... They have one of those $8 ball in a track things, though, so they can have similar activity when I'm not around to play blanket monster.

I'm sure the cats think this is a great game.  I don't dare play it with my cat because she has an annoying habit of attacking feet, hands, elbows, just about any body part under the covers--usually about six in the morning.  We've tried all the usual tricks to discourage her, but no dice.

Hehe, one of my cats is the same way. But she wakes me up when I'm supposed to be up. 5am every day, give or take a few minutes. She lets me sleep in on weekends though

I do the same with Jasper and I also call it "blanket monster". Jasper is an only cat and doesn't get to play rough except when we do this. He jumps on and bunny kicks like crazy. We use an old bath mat sometimes too.

Aww I saw this toy and was wondering, I was thinking about buying it for zazzy for Christmas, but now I am going to . It is a bit expensive, but Christmas, is when Zazzy gets a "big toy" he is 2 and every time I go to the store he run's up to the bags, he knows there will be a new little toy in there for him, he has at least one hundred little mice, with cat nip in them. It was so funny I was moving and found 40 mice under my stove. lol. I am on a fixed income, but I do make sure my little boy gets a nice Christmas gift. So this will be it this year, Thanks that's one gift down.

I got one from Target for Peaches. It was her Christmas present, she loves it and plays with it all the time. The batteries don't last very long but not sure if it's because Peaches likes to sit on it so it can't move. I only paid $20.00 for it. All the stores around here carry them now.

My guy still love this toy...months later.  I am still on the original batteries.  The little want thing broke off recently.....I am going to figure out how to jury rig it when I have time.

I bought the Cat's Meow off the TV commercial too. I just ordered one (and got the 'free' one with it). One of them didn't work, and when I called their customer service, they apologized and sent me TWO more (because of the way they're boxed). So I have three in my house for 8 cats.

Every single cat LOVES them! Some more than others. I find the batteries don't last long because some of my cats like to sit on or hold down the want. They prevent anyone else from getting it, and also drain the battery. One of my cats even plays with it when it's not on! They've destroyed one of them, I found the wand under the table, and they still play with that. The cover shredded around the edge, but if they love a toy that much, then shred away!

I highly recommend this toy, especially now that you can get it practically anywhere. I do wish it was a little more heavy duty though. In my house, it gets a LOT of attention!
