Pancreatitis / Possible IBD or Lymphoma Cat vomiting - HELP!!!

Hey,

First of all, I am willing to take Leo to an ER vet right now, but as his pancreatitis/IBD diagnosis is relatively new I don't know what's to be expected and what isn't.

Leo was recently diagnosed with Pancreatitis and possible IBD/small cell lymphoma (we are treating for IBD rather than invasive lymphoma testing to see how it goes).

He's been showing improved appetite and energy since we started daily steroid tablets a week or so ago.

Today, however, he ate dinner and then projectile vomited and is now vomiting occasional bile. My question is this: is there something I can do at home to help him? Should I try force-feeding? Is this normal for an IBD/Pancreatitis cat, so have these flare-ups? Or is this something more serious?

I ask because although I am willing to take him in, I don't want to rush him to the vet every time this happens if it's somewhat to be expected.

Since you are dealing with pancreatitis, I would call the vet

I just got back from the vet. They administered SubQ fluids and gave him an anti-nausea injection. Hopefully he'll stop vomiting/heaving and I can get a little food and water in him in the morning. At the very least I just want to keep him stable until I talk to the specialist on Monday.

You may also want to confirm that the food you're feeding is appropriate for the animals condition.I'm in a smilar situation with you and the last thing you want is to have to deal with a cat who associates vomiting with eating. It's not a pleasent experience.
