How do I help my kitten cope with being without her brothers and sisters? She cries a lot, and actual tears come out of her eyes! She meows so mournfully it tears me apart. I want to help her but all I can do is try and comfort her. She is 12 weeks old, and whined. I hate to see her so sad someone please help if there is anything I can do. My other kitten seems to like her but he is younger, and his mother hates the new baby.

Ah, so you have other cats and kittens, to held company to this one?

Splendid!  So it is "just" to go on and do what you already do.  Be very mommy, try and play, etc...

You can try on with a Feliway diffuser.

Otherwise, a radical solution would be to try and adopt another one of her siblings.  (it depends on how you got her, but sometimes it is fully possible).

Good luck!

Sadly, I had to make a decision this morning. My mother cat hates the poor baby, more then I would have guessed, I was ready for the hissing, and snarls. But, she actually wants to kill the poor thing. My dog also hates the new arrival and growls and snaps at her. I got ahold of my uncle and he said my cousin also took one of the mates to mine. I asked her if she would like mine and told her the situation, she took her gladly. It broke my heart having to do this, but I had to think of the kitten, and she will not be lonely now. I'll be taking the baby to her a little later today, I know she will be taken good care of.

This solution you found is really the very best possible here. A real win-win situation for everyone!  Nice you could solve it this splendid way!

Tx for caring!

Good luck!

ps.  About your dad.  The best way to get dander off a cat, is to learn it swim.  As shampooing isnt necessary, and shampooing to often dries up them.  But swimming doesnt.

If in hurry, you can stroke over their fur with a half wetted little towel.  There are also especial solutions for this. But common water is working too.

Vacuum cleaning with a cleaner with HEPA-filter.   Have a aircleaner with HEPA filter is effective too.

And so on...   :)

It all turned out perfectly! I'm so happy over it. Once she seen one of her siblings, they both got to playing happy as can be. So it was a win-win. So glad we could make those little ones happy. The others got given away with a mate, their was 6 in all. All was checked by a vet last week, perfect weight, growing good, and parasite free. All those kitty's needed was a good home, which they found. Could not be happier.
