My uncle found an abandoned kitten last month, poor thing was trying to take shelter under a tree during a thunderstorm. He recused the kitten, and soon became very allergenic. His results came in yesterday, and he is allergic to cat dander. He is elder and can't keep up with the baby as well as he thought, now with the allergies its harder on him. He sought out to find a home for that kitty. He called me up this morning I was his last hope, me being the cat lover that I am gladly took the new kitten. We are getting the baby this afternoon! He is not sure if it is a male or female, I'll know for sure later. Can't wait to show this kitty love, and what a splendid time it will have in our home. Although we can't have no more cats after this three is our limit. But, I'm still very excited about our new arrival!

Congrats!  And tx!  HOW old is the new one?

He recognizes how to be inside in a home, being with people, or does he seem born outside??

Pics welcome too.

Has he been vet checked, deparasited, etc?

If not, take it easy with letting him join your residents.  Unless they are healthy and used to roam outside.  If they are inside only, have them separated till you get the newbe OK from the vet.

I have some tips for allergics and cats, if you want to have them. Say if your dear dad wants to visit you and the cats. Or vice versa.   :)

Continue with reports and questions.  If he is a little kitten, you may continue instead in Preg and Kitten care, if you so wish.

Good luck!

She is a beautiful kitten, turns out she was part of a litter he found in a box under a tree. He had them inside for awhile nursing with KMR, and now they eat on their own. The others he already found homes for all but this one. She is a little skittish, and hisses a lot. My baby Samson was introduced to her for a short time of three minutes. Then the mother of Samson, she don't like the new baby at all. I'm guessing she is around 12 weeks. My mother cat is a indoor/outdoor cat, but Samson is still to small to really venture out. My new little one is missing the others, and crying a lot it breaks my heart. I'm going to let her sleep in my room, until the mommy cat is used to her. My fiancé and I have decided to name her Black Beauty. Wish their was something I could do to help her pain from not being with the others :(

there is the trick used by CatWoman707 to quickly socialize half grown kittens. I wonder if it can be used here too, to let her quickly learn you are her sympathetic mom.

It goes on so: You wrap the kitten in a soft towel, all legs up to neck, like a burrito.  Wrapped up so, they go helpless and give up all resistance. Physically and partly also mentally.

They dont try to wriggle out, unlike if you handheld them with force.

Than you carry her at your chest, where she feels your warmth and hears your heart beating.  And you do talk sweet mommy talk, and sing softly...   Let the session be at least a half hour, perhaps even one full hour...

Something alike would work nicely with humans. I had myself had such an experience, although I wont retell it here and now.   :)

Good luck!

The little one will come around quickly once she realizes that she is safe and loved. I do have a question as you mention Samson's mother.... is she spayed? I will assume so and that would be great since you say she is indoor/outdoor. I would make sure to keep Black Beauty confined in her room safely away from your other two until Black Beauty is completely comfortable and trusting of you first. I would also take the kitten to the vet right away for shots and de-wormings. The kitten will be fine in her confined space until she has a clean bill of health. Best of luck to you and Black Beauty. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:
