can someone please help?

I think my beautiful girl is going into labour , she is howling the place down I noticed an hour ago her plug came away, can anyone please tell me if this is the start of labour and roughly how long after the mucus plug comes away is she likely to produce a kitten?

It sounds like she is! My last kitty that was pregnant, cried/moaned during labor and delivery. Labor typically starts within 24 hours after losing her musuc plug. Good luck! and keep us updated (:

Most cats dont howl at birth. They can meow or cry, some are quiet the owner almost not noticing. They seldom howl at full lungs.

So be observant if there are complications!  Contact a vet if necessary - and be prepared to rush her in.

Thanks guys, well a little update for you 40 mins after mucus plug she had her first little bundle a little calico like her, and has gone on to have another 2 , mother and babies doing well and are all settled, will put up some pics shortly and thank you for all your advice
