Yes, the lovely Topaz.  Tell her gently.    I have Mika (Bijou's sister and my grandkitty) with me now.  My daughter thought she might help me heal and with the new baby she cannot give Mika the love and attention she needs and deserves.

I will tell her tonight when we cuddle in bed. I know she will remember all the great times in Smudge's Cafe snuggling with her Beau Bijou in the secluded corner booth. :heart3:

Ari is doing fine. Still bouncing off the walls, but not as much. (Hard to believe he's 8 years old!)

Does Mika miss her brother?

Mika has been living with my daughter so I would say she doesn't miss Bijou but I miss him enough for all of us.

I told Miss Topaz last night as we cuddled. She seems to be taking it well. It hasn't affected her appetite.

Yes. She is so different than Bijou. Affectionate in her own way but not cuddly. At least not yet.

Aww.  Maybe with a little time she'll cuddle more.  I'm glad she is with you!

I am so, so very sorry to hear this.  I just found this thread this morning when I stopped in to make a post about losing Mischief.  This makes it a doubly sad morning indeed.
