So theres this opening and my cats can get under my porch through it and from there they can get into my basement where the food, litter box, ect is kept. One day we found this cat in our basement (we think it followed our cats in it) and he stuck around so we kept her. She seemed like she was a stray cus she was super light and skinny and her fur was all greasy and dirty. All my cats are fixed but one male cat WHO IS ALWAYS IN HEAT XD. But anyways we took her in awhile ago like maybe 6 months? We never got around to taking her to the vet to give her shots, although if she had a previous owner she might have had them. The past week or two we noticed her getting fat in the belly. Her nipples are also a pinkish (I tried to get a pic but she no let me) but they arent that big, but neither is she. My mom thinks shes having a small litter since she cant feel balls in her tummy like she could with my other cat (had 5 kittens). I googled some signs and noticed shes had quite a few like being affectionate and eating alot. I hear they vomit around their 7th week? My cats puke alot so I think nothing of it but I dont think I've seen her in particularly vomit, not alot anyways. Shes very active and shes always jumping up on chairs and following me around but then she also lays down for a long time in between and gets up for almost nothing. She doesnt sit up as much either. So I just wanna know how far along she is my guess is between 3-8 weeks. We'd take her to the vet and get everything checked out and stuff but we dont have time for that. And I definitely wouldnt get an ultrasound if I made time because of the radioactive rays and stuff.

Please be sure to have your male neutered soon. Males don't go "into heat", and, yes, they are ALWAYS ready to mate! Who knows how many unwanted kittens he's fathered :(. Plus, ultrasounds don't use radioactivity; that's x-rays. Ultrasounds use sonar---sound waves.

Usually you can feel the kittens moving the last 2 weeks of pregnancy. But I suppose not all kittens are as active as others. You can usually see their nipples pinking up around 3 weeks in. But, basically, if you don't know when she mated, all you can do is wait and see when the kittens show up!

Also, cats can get pregnant right away after giving birth. So be sure to keep her indoors and away from your unneutered male until after she's spayed. Besides the crushing overpopulation problem, it's just not healthy for a cat to get pregnant again so quickly.

The ultrasound isnt so bad, it is X-rays you should avoid with preg.

You should check her up, also for deworming, even if you dont want X-rays (dangerous AND costly) nor ultrasound (not dangerous and much cheaper than X-rays).

This with throwing is no reliable sign.

You want to have this litter? I mean, she doesnt sound high preg, as you cant feel out the swellings, so it is NOT too late to spay / abortion.  The vet is probably willing if you ask for it.

And spay her you want to do, if not now so later on.

Consider it, if you dont mind spaying while pregnant.

Otherwise, we cant know exactly how much she is gone.  Surely over 3 weeks, but as said, you cant feel out the foetuses, and you /your mom  knows how they feels, so perhaps at most week 5, not more.  You can feel them move the last two weeks, sometimes almost 3 weeks.

I suppose an experienced vet would feel them already, but apparently not an amateur....

If you want the litter be delivered, begin with giving her good food. Think kitten food...

Begin to read on, articles here and other threads...

Proceed with reports and questions!

And consider to neuter this male. Yes, fertile males are always ready if they can.   :)

Tx you allowed this astray girl to stay!

Good luck!

Okay I got ultrasounds and X-rays mixed around thanks for clearing that up for me XD I wanna have this litter and we'll probably take her (when shes okay with leaving her kittens) to the vet to get her spayed. We are already starting to get kitten food for her and then her babies when they start to eat kitten food. I'll make room for the cat to go to the vet to get it checked out to make sure they're healthy and living & my other cat to get spayed. Thanks for the help(:
