Okay my cat used to DEMAND wet food. If I filled up her bowl with dry food she would bug me until I opened up that can of fancy feast. Then a couple of weeks ago, cat had an unfortunate incident. She ate the plant that my husband brought home and got seriously ill. We rushed her to the vet, afraid for her life, and she had an overnight stay at the vet and intensive and expensive treatment. Vet apparently did a good job because she made a seriously miraculous recovery. Like, I couldn't believe it. I had been terrified that she was either going to die or have neurological problems for the rest of her life. So she is completely back to normal now, except that now she won't eat wet food. She will still eat the dry food, but I have all these cans of wet food that I bought and I want her to eat them, but she wont!

It sounds like she is associating her wet food with her illness. Try some other brands/flavors to see if she will try those. Maybe after a while, she will eat the old wet food again. Glad your kitty got better. What kind of plant was it that made her so I'll?

I agree that trying a different brand or texture may work. If she ate pate before maybe try shredded. You can also try a topper to get her interested and fortiflora really works in attracting cats to eat.

I agree with the other posters:  change of texture and total change of flavor (like rabbit or venison).  And follow the transition hints (mix the two, decrease the one, increase the other).

See if she'll eat a piece of raw meat/poultry (or goat!)
