I took my 5 year old, Felix to the vet for a dental check up. She is in desperate need of a teeth cleaning but upon examining her, they found she has developed a little heart murmur. They assured me she will be fine and they have put cats with heart murmurs under many times but I am still super worried about her. I don't know what I would do without my princess. Any advice?

I've had the same experience.  I guess it depends on how significant the murmur is.  My vet wouldn't do the dental until I had an EKG and the cat was cleared.  So, you could always have your kitty's heart checked out by a cardiologist if you're super-concerned.

I'm currently in a similar boat(one bad tooth, odd heart history) and we've opted for having another cardiology consult prior to the dental(which won't be done at our regular vet). I think the benefit, especially considering how oral health affects heart health, outweighs the risk in most cases. Good luck to you both.
