This is my cat Mr. Wiggles. He has been diagnosed with pancreatitis. I have already spent over 2000.00 on him and now I no longer have the money to pay for his vet bills and medications and blood work and ultrasounds. Not to mention he was allergic to the topical solution they pit on him before the tube was inserted and that burned off a lot of fur and needed immediate attention. If you can help then PLEASE read about his situation here. Even posting this following link on your facebook page would help (http://igg.me/p/408144/x/3260768). Please keep us in your prayers.

Can you find out if the vet would accept donations directly for Mr Wiggles' care?   I know that is what other people have done in this situation.

There are a lot of scammers online and unfortunately that can hurt people who are telling the truth.   so some folks might be reluctant to contribute directly , but would do it to a vet hospital,  and you might get an even better response.

If you find you can do that, please do post the info here.

prayers to Mr Wiggles and you. I  had a cat with pancreatitis , DKA and liver damage all at once,   and I know how much his vet bills were.

Just a couple general comments. As Mr W. recovers,  I would definitely keep him on a low carb wet diet.   which is what is most natural for a cat anyway.  and  you want to minimize the demands  on his pancreas and the risk of developing diabetes.

Also re the liver,  I think my cat was helped by Denamarin liver support medicine after he had that episode.  His liver values all went back to normal range within a few months. and it looked much healthier on a repeat ultrasound.

From the Mod Team Regarding Pleas for money:

Cats are a huge responsibility. Anyone who thinks otherwise, should not have one in their life. They are dependent on us for everything from providing a place to eat, to also providing vet care.

Anyone who has cats knows that they can and do get ill. Your best defense is to plan for that to happen before it does, and store monies away in preparation.

If you read about a plight of an animal on the internet and your heart is drawn to help. Check out the story thoroughly. Google the vet's name or call Directory Assistance in the city and be sure this is a legitimate claim.

Do not blindly send money into a paypal account no matter how heart-wrenching the story. Instead reach out to the member and ask for the vet's name and phone number, and arrange to send the money there for the specific needs of the cat in question.

If that information cannot be provided- you have your answer. Report the post to a moderator so that it can be removed for not being on the level.

Note that this is not directed at anyone personally. The mods post this notice in all threads that are asking for money.

My heartfelt thoughts are with you and Wiggles. :hugs: :rub: I am sorry that he has become so ill. He is such a lovely and handsome boy. Best to you and I hope you are able to get the funds needed to continue his care. It is not easy when they get so sick as most of us have been in that position a time or two. All my best. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:
