This Florida lotto ticket holder came forward today. An 84 year old woman who bought the ticket in Zephyrhills, FL. congratulations to her and her family! Do you think she might want to adopt Paul, me and the 3 kitties?

If you won that kind of mega jackpot what would you do with the money?

I would give money to our favorite vet for the care of cats. And to our local no-kill shelter.

A bed-and-breakfast (that would allow cats). As you can see, I still really like the idea of a B & B!

I would move my parents closer to family, buy my brother, his wife and their son a house as they are in a desperate situation (jobless). I would rebuild a feral sanctuary for a friend who runs one in Illinois (she has such a pure heart and one of the best people I know) and I would hire a full-time vet to help care for all of the cats. I would give to many, many charities. And, I would buy myself an upper level FEI dressage horse and would buy my Larry a brand new Mercedes. ;) Man, the list could go on and on with that kind of money.

Never work for a paycheck again.  I would probably move, I wasn't born and raised in Ohio and it's never been a favorite place of mine. I would probably move to the Southwest but not to the retiree haven of Scottsdale.  I've always thought Santa Fe is a really interesting place and also an expensive place to live but that would no longer be a consideration.

That's just too much money for any one person - you could never use that much, so I'd give some of it to my close family members; a few friends, some local charities and also some cat-related charities in Texas. I don't buy lottery tickets, though, so not gonna happen!

I thought it was funny the news reporting she took the one lump sum instead of the 30-years of payments, lol she's 84.

First off, pay off any bills we have. Buy a new home here and a few vacation homes. Go on a few vacations. :lol3: New vehicles. Pay off all of my nieces and nephews student loans and set up college funds for those that aren't of college age yet. Money to siblings.... Money to charities and set up a charitable foundation of some type.

I'd move back home(where I lived for 10+ years, not where I was born) and buy a house away from everything but close enough to civilization(health food stores, 24 hour veterinary hospitals, etc), "catify" it, help out friends/other good people I've met in need(namely a woman with a sanctuary where my friend volunteers with 200+ rescued cats and a cat-loving security guard at my former place of employment), donate to various causes, attend to the health needs of myself/partner/our feline children, pay off our mortgage/any bills, make some investments, explore the world a bit, focus on some creative pursuits, and.. finally relax.
