I have a cat that I had found then soon after we found out she was pregnant. She was fine yesterday but I just noticed she began to act weird. She has a small amount of blood around her areas but no smell. I can pet her head but not her belly or she attacks. I don't know about cats and I don't know what this means. I have a box and towels and a quiet room that she is in.

Its only SMALL amount of blood? No real bleeding freely flowing?  OK, at once somewhat relieved.  The safe answer is to consult your vet.

Is it blood, or is it a discharge with some blood in?

What we can hope for, it is either beginning on her delivery  or possibly a spontan abortion.

Although this her not allowing you to touch her belly sounds peculiar/not so good - usually they do, as you are her protector. Even some semi-ferale for real does.

Could you feel on her belly earlier? say three days ago?  Or was she always touchy there?

Can you feel the kitten move?  Now or earlier?   You can usually feel the kittens move about 2 weeks before delivery.

Anyway, here is a link to a useful thread, with some links to other useful threads.

Be watchful.  Read on, continue with reports and questions.

Good luck!
