I was looking in to getting a subscription box for the kitties of my household. Anyone have recommendations?

I've heard of Pawalla, has anyone tried them/know about them? I like the fact that they have all natural products since my cats have sensitive stomachs.

Any info would help, thanks!

Until I googled Pawalla, I'd never heard of a subscription box.  It's kind of like coffee of the mouth or produce of the week.

Seems a little expensive, but I'm thrifty.

I looked at the credentials of the nutritionist, and she seems legit.

Looks like it could be a fun thing to look forward to every month. A little expensive for me though. If you go with it, let us know what you think.

One of my friends get these, she had a short subscription.  They really enjoyed the boxes, albeit, yes expensive.  But everything in them was high quality and useful.  If you have extra cash and enjoy trying new products, it seems like a nice thing to do.  Maybe even as a gift item for friends with kitties.

Wow!  Wouldn't that be fun
?  I'm afraid my DH would kill me if I did that, though.  He already thinks I've lost what little brain I've got left whenever I tell him my latest purchase for the furkids
.  But I would love to hear all about it if you do it
.  It's fun to live vicariously through others

I just found a good review on one of their mini boxes! : http://www.brokenteepee.com/2013/03/pawalla-mini-box-review.html

I think the mini one would be a good size ( it seems like the bigger one does come with wet food, but thats not a big deal to me). And I think my cats would appreciate a surprise box every month just to spice things up. Plus I can see myself sending one of these boxes to my mom for her bday (she has 2 cats too), and I know she'd love it!

Anyone interested in trying a box with me? (: I'm searching for coupon codes as we speak..!

FYI - Pawalla is out of business.

I had only received one of my 6 mini boxes when I got an email announcing this.  They said they would send the other 5 all at once to honor my subscription. Ok fine, sounded good.

So far, I've only had 4 of the 5 delivered.  One, was a complete duplicate of my first and only box up to that point.  Another was....a DOG box.  WTH?  I have two cats!  What am supposed to do with giant dog treats?  Another box, had incredibly cheap stuff in it other than some pet shampoo by Pet Head (2 balls that I bet are not worth more than $1 combined), catnip, some treats that are "salmon" but have maple syrup of all things as an ingredient listed.  My younger cat wouldn't even touch those.

I have more cat nip than I know what to do with right now.

Anyway, I wrote them to complain and got a canned response which basically said "Suck it up, you're not getting your money back, feel lucky you get what you get; we have money problems".

So, called my credit card company to put in a dispute.  Going to get a credit for the $103 if it kills me.

Interesting development.  Yeah, dispute it with your cc company.  Good luck; let us know if you're successful.

I spoke to my CC last night - I feel positive I'll get the money back.

I also filed with the Better Business Bureau.  The email really rubbed me the wrong way.  It's a lot of money to lose.

On a brighter note - I'll send the dog box off to one of my sisters (the other sister has a dog that eats too much so that one loses out lol).  And, I'm donating the duplicate(s) to the rescue organization we got Cocoabean from.  So at least they aren't going totally to waste.

Another friend of mine is raffling hers off on her blog :D

It shows nothing about them being out of business on their website....I am still able to place an order if I want (which I wont)
